Happy Birthday Spencer!

This special birthday post is for the love of my life, Spencer. I just wanted to take a minute and brag about my sweetheart.

Spencer is definitely the patient one in our family. He is always cool and collected when things seem to be going all wrong! He has taught me that stressing out doesn't solve problems, it just creates more stress--hmmm, go figure! I am so grateful for a husband that is such a hard worker! He works hard at work, comes home to work hard in our yard, and still has time to play with Blake and me. Blake really adores Spencer and copies his every move. He loves to spend time with him digging in the dirt or swinging on the swingset. Spencer has learned to balance work, church callings, family, and personal time with ease! I am constantly amazed at how he is able to keep track of so many things.

Most importantly, I am grateful for the worthy priesthood holder that Spencer is. He has blessed our home with his great faith in the Lord and willingness to serve anytime, anywhere. He is a great example for our son to follow after. I have wondered what I would do without this great man by my side, and I know that my life would have never been the same without him. I know that he has influenced many other lives for good. Thank you Mom Walker for having such a wonderful son!

And THANK YOU Spencer for being who you are! Blake and I love you so much! Happy Birthday!

Swingin' Times

Finally we have beautiful weather! I am loving the short sleeves, flip-flops, and summer colors! As you can see from the video, Blake loves something else about good weather. He has learned to hang on for dear life when swinging by himself, but sometimes he forgets!

Welcome Home Jackie!

My sister Jackie has just returned from her mission in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. She arrived on Wednesday morning after a long 23 hours of flying and layovers (yuck!). Her plane wasn't supposed to arrive until 10:42 am, when it was originally scheduled to come in at 10:30 am. So we all sat around baggage claim and waited until the time came closer to her arrival. Just then I looked up at the escalators and a girl in a suit came down with a puzzled look on her face. It took me a good 5 seconds to register that it was her. Nobody had acknowledged that she was walking toward us until I yelled "Hey, it's Jackie"! The whole family jumped up and ran over to her. She was just as surprised to see us and said she didn't recognize us either.

We are so excited to have her home. Finally the whole family is home and happy! Welcome home sista!
