Here is my tip for the day: be specific if you are going to threaten your child with timeout. Lately Blake has made it a habit of taking off his pants. I know what you're thinking, we have a streaker in the making...he comes by it rightly. Unfortunately his father was the town streak until he was, um, too old for me to say.
ANYWAY, the other night Blake started to drop his britches. As he did, I told him that if he did he'd have to go to timeout. Now usually this stops him and he promptly pulls 'em up and he laughs, thinking it is just a funny joke. But he pulled them down anyway. I looked at him and told him that he had one chance to put them back on or timeout. Apparently being specific with a two year old is important. I told him to put them on, and so he did:on his head! Spencer and I dropped our heads down so that he wouldn't see us laughing so hard. I mean, you don't think you'd have to be THAT specific with a two year old! I'm in big trouble, he's already very good with getting around things!
(And in case you're wondering, he really did put those pants on his head by himself!)
